Why Home

A household runs on a hundred small things

Most of them live in somebody's head, a text message, or a note nobody else can see. Home gives the whole house one list instead of five, and makes it obvious who is doing what.

Lists everyone can see

Groceries, errands, packing, the weekend plan. Add a line from your phone and it is there on everyone else's — no forwarding, no screenshots.

Chores with a name on them

Put a person and a day against anything that needs doing. Finished work gets out of the way on its own, so the list stays short enough to read.

Appointments and reminders

Keep what the house has to remember next to what the house has to do — the dentist, the renewal, the form that is due Friday.

Rewards children can see

Children earn coins for what they finish, and have their own simple screen to check them. Effort you can point at beats nagging.

Start from the list you already have

Paste in a list from your notes app and it becomes real lines you can assign, tick off, and share. Nobody has to retype a year of groceries.

Works when the signal does not

Home installs on a phone or tablet like an app and keeps working in the shop, the basement, or the car. One sign-in covers the whole household.

Children

Built for a house with kids in it

Children are not small adults, and a family app should not treat them like spare accounts.

  • A child sees only what the household has chosen to share with them — nothing else is on their screen to find.
  • A child's view shows what they can actually do, instead of controls that would only refuse them.
  • Children can sign in on a shared family tablet without an adult's account being left open on it.
  • No advertising, no tracking for advertising, and no profile of your child built or sold.
Privacy

Your household's business is its own

What your family buys, owes, plans, and worries about is some of the most personal data there is. We treat it that way:

  • We will never sell your household's data or share it with a third party for advertising.
  • One household's information is never visible to another.
  • We collect what the app needs to work, and nothing kept "in case it is useful later".
  • You can ask us to delete your household's data, and we will.

Home is in early access. Households are being added a few at a time while we get it right, so there is a short wait and we will tell you where you stand.
